Meeting Place: Green Lakes Park Office Parking Lot
Rating: S 5+ miles

Let’s explore the many trails of Green Lakes! This hike is considered strenuous as we will be exploring the Rolling Hills and Powerline Trails that lead to the Indian Ovens formation. As we make our way back to the parking lot we will stroll through the Old Growth Forest where some trees are estimated to be almost 300 years old! We very well may have snow in December so please be sure to dress properly, hat, gloves and boots. Trekking poles are also recommended for extra support and balance.
Please bring water, snack and PPE.
Fayetteville offers many great restaurants for those looking for dinning opportunities after the hike. Some offerings are Papa Gallo Mexican, Red Robin, Bone Fish Grill and the Craftsman House.
Directions: Green Lakes is located at 7900 Green Lakes Rd, Fayetteville, NY 13066. Please meet at the entrance located off of Route 290.
The number of participants are limited so be sure to Register here to attend. Don't forget to bring your mask! Check the Hiking Forum for guidelines & any updates to the hike
