Hike at Baltimore Woods

Baltimore Woods Hike Plan

Our hike leader will be Phyllis Creamer and we ask that you please arrive at 12:45pm so we can get organized before starting out. We’ll meet in the parking lot just south of the Baltimore Woods Interpretive Center on Bishop Hill Road in Marcellus. (From the center of the village of Marcellus, turn onto South Street and go about 0.7 miles to the intersection of Bishop Hill Road. Turn right onto Bishop Hill Road and go up the hill about 0.6 miles, parking in the lot just past the Interpretive Center.)

The planned total distance will be about three miles, but two additional alternatives are:

• There are more trails for the ambitious. (See link below)
• The wildflower gardens at the top of the hill, near the entry, should be in bloom.

While both sides of the Valley Trail are steep and rough in places, most of the other trails are relatively smooth but, since it is April, there will likely be muddy and wet sections. In addition, ticks and other insects will be active.
