Biking on Wednesday Evenings and Saturday--

Biking is one of our most popular summer activities for members of all levels of cycling ability.

The Cycling Committee, consisting of Jeff Culotta,  Don Neugebauer, Jack O'Brien,  Anne Sonne,  John Sonne, Donna Willis and chair Emmet Owens, has established a schedule of Wednesday evening rides from mid-April through September that start at locations throughout the county.  

In 2024, there will also be Saturday rides starting from Meier's Creek Brewery in Cazenovia on June 15, to the Bailiwick store in Elbridge on July 20, and starting at the ONCO Brewery in Tully on August 10.   

There are detailed maps available for each Wednesday and Saturday ride (See Ride Map Libraries above).  Rides for at least 3 levels of ability (short, medium, and long) for each ride date.  that give rides for 3 - 4 levels of cycling from the short social riding to short, medium, and long rides that provide group riding at your level of cycling ability. The ride times and locations are posted on the Calendar several weeks ahead.

We use the Cycling Forum tab on the website to give you information in case of changes in weather and road conditions, or it you want to pose a question, or even have an online dialog with others who are interested in cycling.
There will usually be a post on the Cycling Forum two days prior to rides to give more information. 

 Onondaga Cycling Club.

The Onondaga Cycling Club (OCC) is a separate organization dedicated only to cycling .  We are providing this information as a  service to our members.  There may be members that are beyond the basic cycling program of OSC and may find participating with the OCC more fulfilling.
