Cross-Country Skiing
Labeled as one if not the best form of aerobic exercise for the creature human, 25% of our members participate in this activity. Many of the rest are 'cross-skiers'. Fortunately, Central New York has many, many kilometers of groomed trails for us to enjoy. Some are right in the city! Within a two hour drive are state parks, the Erie Canal path, county parks, and quite a number of dedicated areas just for the skinny skis. A great area is Tug Hill - close by with lots and lots of snow. Typically volunteer trip leaders from the club membership work with a club X-Country coordinator and lead day trips each weekend. Come join us. Check out the weekly X-Country schedule on the club calendar. If you want to find out what's going on at the moment, pose a question or have an on line dialog with others who share this interest, you can go to the x-country discussion forum. | Recent forum updates
