Hike Filmore Glen State Park - Rescheduled

NOTE:  This hike is rescheduled and will be on 6/21.

The park is located approximately 1 mile south of the center of Moravia, NY. We will meet at the main parking lot. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and for a brief introduction.

The park entry fee is $8.00 per vehicle. (Note: NYS Residents over 62 can enter free on weekdays) Bring sufficient water and snacks and appropriate hiking boots. In addition, ticks and other Insects will be active and you should take proper precautions.

• Total miles: 4-5
• Total Time: 2-1/2 to 3 hours
• Elevation gain: approx. 700 ft
• Trails: we will hike up the North Rim Trail and return via the Gorge Trail. We can extend the hike about a mile by also hiking up to the dam and back.
• Terrain: The North Rim Trail has many stairs, roots and uneven surfaces. The Gorge trail is easier, but with several wet areas.
• Rating: moderate

• The trails are well marked.
• Check the forum for updates as we get closer to the hike.
• Be sure to register if you plan on attending. Number of registrants is limited. If you register and find that you cannot attend, be sure to cancel your registration.
