Hike - Burlingame Gateway Trails

Burlingame Gateway Trails Hike 

Hike starts at 10 AM Monday 7/26/21 in Cazenovia at the Burlingame Gateway Trails location. Please be there 15 minutes early to sign in.

From Cazenovia, at the intersection of routes 13 and 20, follow rte.13 south about 1.3 miles, then turn right on Burlingame Road. Parking is about 0.7 miles ahead on the right.  

The hike is 3-5 miles, elevation gain about 300- 500', some roots, little mud in dry weather, a good, mostly shaded trail. It's an easy to moderate mixed use trail for hiking, horseback riding, cross country cycling. Usually lightly used.

Our route begins on the gateway trail, circles around Atwell’s Knoll, and then continues gateway trail to Sherman's gulch trail. There's a nice ravine along the way. We'll follow Cassie’s Loop, then back to Sherman's gulch trail, and left (east) at Burlingame Road to return to the parking lot.
