Hike is cancelled.  Will be rescheduled at a later date!

We will be hiking the Hinchcliff Family Preserve Loop and the High Vista link trail.  All of the trails are well marked.

The Hinchcliff loop is about 2 miles and encompasses several fairly steep sections going up and down. The link trail is not as steep and is an out and back of about a mile each way.  The total for this hike is about 4 miles. The trails have uneven surfaces, roots, loose stones and a couple of small streams to cross. Along the way we will see an old barn foundation, an army truck and the remains of a 1900's home and chimney. (a bonus for the first to spot the old washing machine along the way)

After the hike we can stop for lunch in Skaneateles for those interested. (the LakeHouse Pub has half price roast beef sandwiches on Mondays. Beware of the horseraddish, its HOT!)

To get there, take Rt 41 (East Lake Rd) South from Rt 20 in Skaneateles for about 15 miles.  Covey Rd is a dirt road on the right hand side about 1.2 miles past the Spafford Fire Dept.  The parking area is at the end of Covey Rd.

Please try to arrive about 15 minutes early. It will most likely be warm so bring plenty of water. It's also tick season, so take proper precautions.
