Paddle Jacks Reef/Cross Lake

• We'll paddle upriver to Cross Lake.
  
• We may stop by the Cross Lake Islands Wildlife Area.
  
• We may paddle either the Seneca River on the west-side of Cross Lake or north into Cross Lake depending on boat traffic and wind conditions.
  
• We'll return by floating down the canal and then head upriver towards the put in at the Reef completing a loop.
  
• We may see a colony of Cormorants that nest along the river.
  

Parking: The Reef (Bar, Restaurant, Furniture Store)

• Go West 690 from Syracuse. 
  
• Exit at the 2nd Baldwinsville exit (370W / Downer St)
  
• Turn left onto 370W
  
• Turn Left onto Route 31 (Approx 1 mi)
  
• At a Stop Sign make a Right onto Old Route 31 (Approx 3.8 mi)
  
• The Reef will be on your right next to a bridge. Parking is in the back next to the Seneca River

FYI: Following the paddle we will share a meal at The Reef.

Weather conditions: We will cancel if there is a threat of thunder during the paddle.

Be aware of boat traffic. Do not cross a boaters path.

FYI: Carry a whistle, white light (for signaling) and a life vest. These are New York State boating requirements.
