Paddle Horseshoe Island

• Meet at the Bonstead Rd Public Boat Launch under the 481 Bridge.
  
• Paddle up the Oneida River through the cut that made Horseshoe Island.
  
• When you see an old beached river barge and Pirates Cove Marine head north onto the side channel. This takes us on the east side of Horseshoe Island.

• Head north on RT-481 from Syracuse
  
• Take Exit 12 for NY-31 exit right toward Cicero. (7.2 Mi)
  
• Turn left onto Morgan Road (0.2 Mi)
  
• Turn Left onto Maider Road (1.3 Mi)
  
• Continue onto Bonstead Road (2.7 Mi)
  

FYI: Following the paddle we will share a meal at Pirates Cove

Weather conditions: We will cancel if there is a threat of thunder during the paddle.

Be aware of boat traffic. Do not cross a boaters path.

FYI: Carry a whistle, white light (for signaling) and a life vest. These are New York State boating requirements.
