Camillus Forest Hike

• We'll meet at the parking lot on Thompson Road in Camillus at 10:30, and that should be early enough that we could go somewhere for lunch afterward.
  
• We'll hike around the property through the woods to a spot on the top of the hill where the view looks over Hancock Field, extending to Tug Hill to the northeast, and over the city to the hills south of Oneida.

• To get to the CFUA from the city, take I-695 then  Rt. 5 heading west, and exit turning left onto Rt. 173.  Then take Rt 173 west, cross the bridge over Nine Mile Creek, and take the next left.   The parking lot is a short way down Thompson Road on the right.  (Thompson Road is almost two miles from the exit from Rt. 5 and if you go up a steep hill on Rt.173, you've gone too far.)  

A couple of other notes:

• This was scheduled a Thursday to give a better chance of getting together for lunch as many places are closed on Monday.  However, it's still a little early in the season to conflict with kayaking.
  
• For the hike, we suggest hiking boots and insect protection.
