Hiking at Great Bear - hike is canceled

Hike through well-traveled wooded trails in the Great Bear Recreation Area, between Route 57 and the Oswego River. Some hills, but not too steep. Trails should be in good shape allowing us to go all the way north to Whiskey Island. Total hike should be between 4 and 4.5 miles.

Directions to trailhead: Route 57 north out of the village of Phoenix; approximately 3 miles north on the west (left) side of the road.
