Baltimore Woods Hike

Registration is closed
The New York State regular hunting season starts on November 18th and ends on December 10th. That means we have to be a little more careful about where we choose to hike, but there are still some great areas.  (BTW, bow hunting extends on both ends of the regular hunting season for a couple of weeks and, even though the typical cross bow range might be only a couple of hundred feet, it’s still a good idea to wear bright colors.)


At Baltimore Woods, the plan is that we’ll start at 11 o’clock and go down the Valley Trail and head clockwise around the Boundary Trail.  Then, after passing the lower parking lot, we’ll take the Overlook Trail.  The total mileage will only about three miles, but there are a couple of hills and it’ll likely be close to 1 PM when we’re done.


The trails are generally well maintained, but November says we should always be ready for damp areas, wet roots, and mud!
