Going to Rochester?

We headed out to Rochester to go to the REI store, an wonderful place to spend the kids inheritance. REI has virtually anything one would like to have if they spend time outdoors doing almost everything. We were in the market for robust snow-shoes.

When we got to Rochester, we were hungry so drove a little ways past REI on Henrietta Street and spotted a pizza place called Mr. Shoes Pizza at 121 South Ave. Pizza sounded good, so we stopped. It didn't look like much, a couple of small tables, a cooler or two on the wall, and the ordering place. A staff person came out and gave us a menu sheet that was covered with much more than just pizza. It took some time to read everything, then we placed our order. In a relatively short time, out it came and chow-down we did. Marilyn had a 9" pizza that she alone devoured, and I had a 12" long gourmet sub that was huge in width plus a foot long, and we both said these were the best of each we've ever had.  I could only eat half of mine, but brought the rest home for dinner that night. Then we went to REI and spent, and then spent some more. It is a dangerous place to go.

Now the reason I'm posting this on the club's 'What did you do today" is to tell all the clubs members about the nearest REI store, but more so about the place to go just to get something great to eat.  Their web site is www.mrshoespizza.com. Check it out.
